Participating CFCC faculty members include: Ben Billingsley, Geoff Calabrese, Rick Conn, Jessica Gaffney, Kirsten Koromilas, Jennifer Mace, Victoria Paige, Abby Spangel Perry, Deborah Quinn, Sharon Wozniak Spencer, Kirah Van Sickle, Amber Watts, and Travis Weller.

The virtual exhibit is powered through Kunstmatrix, a unique tool that places the artwork in a 3D rendering of a gallery. Guests can select to view work through a guided tour or peruse at their own pace. A virtual exhibit allows artists the freedom to show work without the limitations imposed by a physical space.

Abby Spangel Perry, an Art Instructor at CFCC and the Gallery Coordinator, faced the challenge of bringing this event online—“With a virtual show it comes down to technology and lots of data entry; using a quality hosting site and effectively navigating it, as well as collecting inventory information and images from the artists and formatting it properly.” No formal reception is planned due to COVID-19 restrictions, but Perry is developing a series of educational talks with several faculty for the gallery’s social media pages.

“CFCC is very proud of our faculty and the extreme skill that is on display here. Our students are lucky to study under such exceptional artists and dedicated instructors who work tirelessly to prepare our students for transfer to the university system,” said Brandon Guthrie, CFCC Dean of Arts and Humanities, “COVID-19 has made the arts and our local creative economy difficult, but we’re continuously finding ways to reach out to our community.”
