CFCC Small Business Center Offers Support to Local Small Business Owners and Entrepreneurs

Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College’s Small Business Center is offering support to local small business owners and entrepreneurs during the current pandemic through no-cost online webinars and free one-on-one confidential business counseling.

“During normal circumstances, CFCC’s Small Business Center is a community-based provider of education and training, counseling, referral, and information for prospective and existing small business owners,” said Jerry Coleman, CFCC Small Business Center Director. “During these unprecedented times, we are focused on helping our community’s small businesses to survive the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Services include general business counseling and assistance with loan applications, unemployment information, marketing, and promotional strategies, debt management and communicating with creditors, financial projections and cash flow management, business continuity, and strategic planning. The SBC can also make referrals to appropriate agencies and sources of assistance. In addition, the SBC is offering free webinars focused on strategies to overcome the Impact of COVID-19. The Center also maintains a list of COVID-19-related resources for area small businesses.

Counseling Services

CFCC’S Small Business Center provides free, confidential counseling with CFCC’s Small Business Center Director, Jerry Coleman.

“We understand small businesses in our community are facing an unprecedented economic disruption and need assistance to make it through this difficult time. Our center is here to help them get resources they need,” said Coleman.
