Biography

Clay joined Cape Fear Community College in 2017 after spending nine years at the middle school level teaching and coaching. He initially served as the Assessment Retention Specialist for the Academic and Career Readiness Department before becoming the Special Programs Coordinator for CFCC. He is now a Career Coach with the Career and College Promise program where he advises and encourages students to maximize their educational opportunities to ensure their personal growth and achievement. He is an avid East Carolina Pirates fan, from where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in communication and a master’s degree in school administration. Clay enjoys spending time with his wife, son, and rescue pups.
