Biography
Mary Gheen is a flutist and full-time faculty member at Cape Fear Community College. She teaches Music Theory, Aural Skills, and Flute performance. She served as a flutist for the 440th Army Band from 2015 to 2021 and now continues to perform with various local ensembles, such as the Wilmington Symphony and Tallis Chamber Orchestras. Gheen is also an accomplished Piano Technician. She has been contracted as a piano technician for numerous institutions and venues, including UNC Wilmington, UNC Chapel Hill, East Carolina University, Francis Marion, High Point University, Wilmington’s Historic Thalian Hall, the Wilson Center, and the Vivace! International Music Festival.
