Biography:
Formerly a department chair of visual arts at Cape Fear Community College, Richard Conn is a seasoned art faculty in classroom instruction and studio management. His long, successful history at the college includes his valuable contribution in areas such as curriculum design, maintaining program and institutional standards, enrollment, scheduling, budgeting and personnel, and coordination of the CFCC’s Wilma W. Daniels Gallery, including scheduling and curating year-round exhibitions. Conn’s education includes an MFA in sculpture from Western Carolina University (2010) and a BA in studio art from the University of South Carolina. The topic of his MFA Thesis was: Device, An Exploration of Interior and Exterior Space as an Aspect of Interactive Sculpture.
