CFCC to Offer Evening BLET Program Interest Meetings

Wilmington, NC (April 29, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College is hosting a series of in-person information sessions for individuals interested in an evening Basic Law Enforcement Training program. The sessions will provide details on how to become a certified police officer or deputy sheriff in North Carolina through a flexible evening schedule.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with instructors, ask questions, and learn more about the steps required to begin a career in public safety.
All sessions will be held at CFCC’s North Campus, Building NA, located at 4500 Blue Clay Road, Castle Hayne, NC.
Information session dates and times are as follows:
- Tuesday, May 12, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.
- Thursday, May 28, from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday, May 30, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
CFCC’s BLET program prepares students for entry-level positions in law enforcement agencies across North Carolina. The curriculum includes over 640 hours of coursework and covers topics of driving, control and compliance techniques, rapid deployment, HAZMAT, criminal law, patrol procedures, emergency response, and much more.
