From Startup Dream to Giving Back

Paul from TWPWilmington, NC (April 10, 2025)– Cape Fear Community College is proud to share a story that has come full circle. Paul Baron, founder of The Wall Printer , has returned to the place where his entrepreneurial journey began with a donation that will enhance learning opportunities for CFCC students for years to come.

With early guidance and support from CFCC’s Small Business Center, Baron launched The Wall Printer, specializing in custom, high-resolution artwork directly to vertical surfaces. Years later, that same spirit of innovation has led to a generous donation of a cutting-edge wall printer that will benefit students in art, graphic design, engineering, and other programs.

“This donation reflects what can happen when a business and a college grow together,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “We’re grateful to Paul and his team for giving back to the community where their business began and helping students access relevant, industry-level technology.”

The wall printer offers a new layer of hands-on learning for creative projects, interdisciplinary collaboration, and technical skill-building possibilities. Even more meaningful is the involvement of a current CFCC Engineering student interning at The Wall Printer, who will be part of the team helping train others on the equipment in the coming weeks.

“This isn’t just a donation, but a partnership rooted in shared experiences and a commitment to preparing students for what comes next,” said Paul Baron. “CFCC helped launch The Wall Printer, and now we’re excited to support students who may be starting their own journeys.”
