CFCC offers a unique opportunity to learn at Wilmington’s established film and television production facility. Students gain valuable insight into the film industry through hands-on training on a professional soundstage using industry-standard equipment.

Develop compelling scripts for film and video with a local production company. Students explore storytelling techniques used in professional filmmaking. Through guided writing exercises and table reads with actors, students gain real-world insight into the pre-production process. By the end of the course, students will have a polished, production-ready short script or a revised feature-length script.
Students will:
- Learn the art of storytelling and develop their own screenplay.
- Engage in unique and challenging peer-led review sessions.
- Participate in a table-read with professional actors.
In partnership with Honey Head Films , an award-winning Wilmington-based production house.
Course Technical & Physical Requirements
- Students must have reliable access to A desktop or laptop computer, High-speed internet connection, A current web browsee.
- students must be able to Log in to and navigate the college’s Learning Management System (LMS), Access course materials, including videos, documents, and external links, Submit assignments electronically Monitor grades and instructor feedback.
- Communicate effectively through written digital formats (email, discussion boards, messaging).
- As a writing class, Students are expected to demonstrate basic proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
