Distribution and Logistic Management

Prepare for a career in a warehousing distribution center in this 10-week job training.

OSHA 10 Card and Forklift Operator Safety are components of the class! With this course, you’ll develop industry knowledge, competencies, and skills in distribution and logistics management.

In addition to learning the lifecycle of the supply chain, you’ll also learn about all the logistic modalities. This course focuses on the professional skills and abilities needed in distribution and warehousing, including:

  • Materials Management
  • Yard Management
  • Material Handling Equipment
  • Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)/(WES) AS/RS
  • Facilities Management
  • Distribution Centers
  • Fulfillment Centers
  • Cold Storage
  • Osha 10 including Forklift Safety

This course also includes employment preparation, resume review, and industry interview preparation with interactions with local employers!

Schedule

Fall registration is open! Day and night classes are available, with online coursework supplementing classroom learning.

The schedule includes monthly Friday daytime visits to the local Food Bank’s warehouse. Detailed information is provided upon registration.

Location: Wilmington Campus (Downtown)

Day Class

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 9 a.m.- 12 p.m.

Night Class

Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 6 – 9 p.m.

This class also includes online coursework to supplement classroom learning.

Day and night class schedules include monthly day-time visits on Fridays to the local Food Bank’s warehouse. You can access the specific schedule during registration for details.
