Wilmington, NC (March 10, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College will offer the Introduction to Outboard Systems course at the Surf City location for the first time beginning June 9. The course, offered in partnership with Yamaha, runs through August 20 and provides specialized training in outboard motor maintenance.

Participants will learn the service requirements for engines operating from 100 to 1,000 hours, gaining hands-on skills aligned with industry standards.

“This course represents an important expansion of our workforce training opportunities at the Surf City Campus,” said Erin Easton, CFCC Vice President of Economic and Workforce Development and Career and Technical Education. “By expanding our partnership with Yamaha, we’re ensuring students receive high-quality, industry-relevant instruction that prepare them for in-demand marine service careers.”
