Why did you decide to enroll at CFCC? Why did it make sense for you?
CFCC offered me the flexibility I needed as a parent, allowing me to balance my family responsibilities with my academic pursuits. I also liked the fast-paced nature of the program, as that’s how I prefer to learn.
Can you tell us about your experience at CFCC, including your major, any achievements, participation in student activities, etc.?
My experience at CFCC has been amazing. I completed the Practical Nursing program before completing my Associate Degree in Nursing. Surviving nursing school was a significant achievement for me, and I actively participated in veteran activities throughout my time at CFCC.
What are your plans after graduation?
My plan is to pursue my RN to BSN transition while working as an adult acute care nurse in Novant’s residency program.
What made you want to pursue that career path/attend that four-year university?
I’ve always wanted to be a nurse, and after a fulfilling career as a combat photographer in the military, I chose to pursue that dream.
How has CFCC helped prepare you for your next step?
CFCC, one of the state’s top ADN programs, lived up to its reputation. The instructors prepared me for the real world of nursing, and I am proud to have had the opportunity to learn from the best.
What advice would you give someone considering studying at CFCC?
Do it. Knowing what I know now, I would STRONGLY recommend anyone looking to get into nursing to start at a community college in general, but definitely CFCC.
