CFCC ADN and LPN Program Ranked Best in State by Nursing Schools Almanac
Wilmington, NC — Nursing Schools Almanac recently ranked Cape Fear Community College’s Associate Degree in Nursing and Licensed Practical Nursing programs as best in North Carolina.
To help aspiring nurses evaluate their options, the research team at Nursing Schools Almanac has compiled an extensive database of student performance on the NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN licensure exams. Researchers analyze the data over several years to calculate each program’s NCLEX pass rate among first-time test-takers.
“We are proud to be recognized by Nursing Schools Almanac for the accomplishments of our Associate Degree Nursing and Practical Nursing programs. Our outstanding nursing faculty is focused on quality education and student success,” said Dr. Mary Ellen Naylor, CFCC Dean of Health Sciences. “The success of our nursing students exemplifies the commitment CFCC has made to prepare graduates who are committed and eager to be part of a team and meet the healthcare needs of our community.”
“Receiving this recognition speaks to the excellence of our ADN and LPN programs and illustrates the unfailing dedication of faculty and staff who strive to deliver high-quality instruction and training to our students,” said CFCC President Jim Morton. “Our health science programs are consistently recognized for their outstanding quality. It’s exceptionally gratifying to see the efforts of our health science team be recognized at this level.”
