CFCC announces 2024 Riverfront Boat Show
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is excited to announce the return of the Riverfront Boat Show on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Along the Cape Fear River, between Hotel Ballast and the Coastline Convention Center, wood and fiberglass boats will be displayed on land and in the water. This event is open for the public to attend at no cost.
The Riverfront Boat Show spotlights the craftmanship of boat building, highlighting both CFCC student creations and the work of local artisans. The show is the year’s largest fundraiser to support scholarship for boat-building students.
“The annual boat show is an opportunity for our students to learn from seasoned boat builders while providing a platform for both the public and students to shine a light on their skills,” said Jason Rogers, Chair of the Marine Technology Department. “Moreover, the event promotes the preservation of traditional craftsmanship, hopefully igniting a passion in the next generation to preserve our maritime history.”
