CFCC Department of Fine and Performing Arts presents A Contemporary American’s Guide to a Successful Marriage

Wilson Center WILMINGTON, NC – Cape Fear Community College’s Department of Fine and Performing Arts is excited to present A Contemporary American’s Guide to a Successful Marriage, a clever and nostalgic look at love, marriage, and family. Written by Robert Bastron, this unique performance playfully revisits the classic social guidance films of the 1950s, offering both a tribute and a contemporary perspective.

Performances will take place at 7:00 p.m. on November 14 – 16 and 21-23 in the Studio Theater located in the CFCC Wilson Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

This production is a blend of narration, humor, and insight, affectionately highlighting the era’s iconic portrayals of relationships while providing a conscious corrective for today’s audiences. This exploration of love, marriage, children, and even divorce is a celebration of how far society has come—and a reminder of where it once was.
