CFCC to hold Faculty and Friends Concert on March 11
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) will host the annual Faculty and Friends Concert on Monday, March 11, from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., at the CFCC Wilson Center. There is no cost to attend, and no advance tickets are required.
CFCC music instructor, Adam Moxley-White, will perform a piece for two trumpets and a piano entitled Under the Western Skies. He will be joined by University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) music instructors Dr. Christopher Luebke-Brown and Elizabeth Loparits.
The concert will also feature a performance by Cape Fear Rising, a new Wilmington “good vibe” band. Cape Fear Rising infuses their sound with California’s laid-back spirit and the East Coast’s soulful essence. The band is entirely composed of CFCC instructors and alumni and features CFCC music instructor Marc Siegel.
“Hosting the Faculty and Friends Concert free for the community underscores our belief that music is meant to be shared and celebrated,” said Philip Singleton, CFCC Arts & Humanities Program Chair. “This event not only showcases our department’s talent but also encourages partnership with other music educators and local musicians.”
