CFCC to host FAFSA Day
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) will host a FAFSA Day designed to provide invaluable assistance to current and prospective students in completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form. High school students, current college students, prospective students, families, and adult learners are all invited to attend. The event will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in CFCC’s Union Station in room 212 (502 N. Front Street).
FAFSA Day is an opportunity for individuals to receive one-on-one or small-group assistance in completing and submitting their FAFSA application. All attendees should bring their FSA ID and password (for both the student and the parent/guardian) and their 2021 and 2022 tax returns.
Key highlights of the event include:
- Personalized assistance: trained financial aid professionals will be available to assist attendees and address specific questions and concerns related to the FAFSA
- Step-by-step guidance: to ensure accuracy and completeness to maximize their eligibility for receiving financial aid
- Document preparation support: attendees are encouraged to bring necessary documents, such as tax returns and income information, for hands-on assistance in completing the application
- Accessibility and inclusivity: the event is designed to be accessible to everyone in our community
“We understand that navigating the financial aid process can be daunting for many students,” said Rachel Cavenaugh, CFCC Senior Director of Financial Aid. “FAFSA Day is a way to provide support, ensuring every student can access the financial assistance they need to pursue their educational goals.”
