CFCC to Host Marine Technology Career Discovery Night on April 21

Four people lean over the edge of a large indoor water tank while adjusting a green and black underwater robotic device partially submerged in the water. One person points to a control knob on top of the device as the others hold it steady. The setting appears to be a workshop or lab with industrial equipment and pipes visible in the background.

Wilmington, NC (April 8, 2026) – Cape Fear Community College is hosting a Career Discovery Night for the Marine Technology program on Tuesday, April 21, from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at the W Building on CFCC’s Downtown Campus (located on North Water Street). The event provides both current and prospective students with a chance to learn about careers in the marine science and maritime industries.

Attendees will be able to speak with Marine Technology faculty, ask questions, tour the labs, and see how the program combines classroom learning with hands-on experience on the water.
