CFCC women’s soccer alumni joins coaching staff
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is excited to announce the appointment of a new Women’s Assistant Soccer Coach, Bayleigh Moss. Bayleigh is returning to the Sea Devils Athletics program after competing as a student-athlete from 2020-2022.
Moss served as the women’s soccer team captain in the 2021 season, leading her team to win the Region 10 Championship and punching their ticket to the Division II National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) tournament for the first time since 2016.
Bayleigh, a local to Wilmington, played for Coastal Christian High School and Pleasure Island Soccer Association (PISA) prior to her time at CFCC. She kicked off her coaching career for the PISA Hurricanes and continues to serve as one of the travel team head coaches.
“Bayleigh is a great addition to our Athletic Department, and we are excited to welcome her back to CFCC,” said Ryan Mantlo, CFCC Director of Athletics. “She has a proven track record of success and dedication to our local soccer community, and we are confident that this addition to our coaching staff will contribute significantly to our team’s growth and achievements.”
“I can’t wait to get started,” said Coach Moss. “Returning to CFCC as a coach is incredibly exciting and an amazing opportunity. I’m humbled to be able to give back to a place that gave me so much and was a part of my growth, on and off the field.”
