Lauren’s background is impressive and diverse. She spent 12 years teaching middle school math and social studies in Missouri, working with a range of students including those in enriched, integrated special education, and general math courses. Her dedication to education extended beyond the classroom as she served as a mentor teacher for new educators, helping them navigate their early years in teaching.

Following her teaching career, Lauren transitioned to a role as an Admissions & Outreach Advisor at a community college in Missouri. In this position, she excelled in assisting students with the enrollment process, connecting them with campus resources, and organizing outreach events. Her role also included visiting rural high schools to present on post-secondary options and provide guidance on career and college pathways. Additionally, Lauren supported the dual credit coordinator by familiarizing students with dual credit admissions and orientations.

Since relocating to North Carolina in July 2023, Lauren has been a Recruiter and Enrollment Specialist at CFCC, where she guided students through the enrollment process, assisted with admissions, organized outreach events, and helped oversee the Student Ambassador program. Her experience at CFCC has made her well-acquainted with the college’s programs, and she is excited to bring this knowledge and enthusiasm to our CCP team.

Lauren’s extensive background in education and student support is a tremendous asset to our dual-enrolled students.
