Certified Professional Coder
This program consists of four core classes and a certification exam review class. The goal is to prepare students to take the Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification exam provided through the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC). The program is not intended for those interested in Inpatient or ambulatory care coding certification.
The Certified Professional Coder (CPC) program is recommended for those with healthcare experience principally in areas such as billing, finance, insurance coding, reimbursement, abstracting, etc.
“I had been in the medical field for a little over 10 years and I was feeling the need for professional and personal growth. A co-worker at the time was taking Medical Coding classes during the summer at CFCC and I was curious. Once she explained more about the continuing education curriculum, I was ready to go as this felt like a natural progression in the path that I was on. All of the instructors have been very knowledgeable and are there to help guide you along the way. It has been a very positive experience throughout and I would not hesitate to recommend CFCC to anyone.”
