Michael King recognized as Distinguished Chapter Member at the national Phi Theta Kappa Convention
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is proud to announce that Michael King has been selected as one of only thirty students from across the nation to be recognized as a Distinguished Chapter Member at the upcoming Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Catalyst Convention in Orlando, Florida on April 4-6.
PTK is an internationally renowned honor society for two-year colleges, recognizing academic achievement and promoting leadership and service among its members. The Distinguished Chapter Member designation is awarded to students with exceptional leadership, scholarship, and service within their local PTK chapter and community.
Michael King has exemplified these qualities throughout his time at CFCC, significantly contributing to campus life. His dedication to academic excellence, leadership, and service has earned him this prestigious recognition.
“Being a Cape Fear Community College student and becoming a member of Phi Theta Kappa has given me the confidence and opportunity to excel at a level I never imagined possible,” said Michael King.

The PTK Catalyst Convention brings together thousands of community college students, advisors, and administrators worldwide for three days of learning, networking, and celebration.
