CFCC North Campus 4500 Blue Clay Rd, Castle Hayne, NC 28429 NA-McKeithan Building

    Training category: Detention/Corrections
    Course Description:
In today’s environment—where every law enforcement and correctional use of force incident is
subject to intense public and media scrutiny—it is critical that agencies conduct thorough and
well-documented reviews of all Use of Force and Critical Incidents for both operational and
liability purposes. A proper review is essential to protect your agency, your staff, and your
community, and it serves as a key component in reducing liability, improving training, and
identifying trends and early warning signs. The media often releases videos and partial
information aimed at capturing public attention, which can escalate negative perceptions and
place increased pressure on agencies. This training is designed to prepare your staff to
confidently and competently conduct reviews of Use of Force and Critical Incidents, helping
your agency respond appropriately to internal and external scrutiny.
