The NC DMV waives its skill test for motorcycle endorsement applicants who have successfully completed a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Basic Rider Course. Graduates of the Basic Rider Course will be awarded a skills waiver card that must be submitted to the NC DMV license examiner as proof of course completion. This card is valid for one year from the date of issue.
