Wilma W. Daniels Gallery to host SAY IT LOUD exhibition
Wilmington, NC – The Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) Wilma W. Daniels Gallery is proud to present the latest iteration of SAY IT LOUD, a global traveling exhibition that cultivates and elevates the work and contributions of women and diverse designers in the state, raising the visibility of their contributions to the built environment. This exhibition is being brought to the gallery in partnership with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Wilmington.
The exhibition will run from Thursday, May 16, to Friday, June 7. On Friday, May 24, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., a reception will be held in conjunction with Fourth Friday Gallery Nights.
Curated by New York-based architect Pascale Sablan, SAY IT LOUD elevates the work of black, indigenous, and other people of color (BIPOC) and women designers in built environment fields. This exhibit was initially created by Beyond the Built Environment, an organization dedicated to addressing inequitable architectural disparities by providing a holistic platform to support numerous stages of the architecture pipeline.
The Wilma W. Daniels Gallery is open Monday through Friday from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. To learn more about the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery, visit wilmadanielsgallery.com/ .
