Biography
I was educated in Slovakia, at the University of Constantine the Philosopher in Nitra. I earned my Master’s with a double major in Slovak Language and Literature and Philosophy in 2002. My thesis was Catharsis in Ancient Philosophy. I then went on for my PhD in Slavic Linguistics, writing my dissertation, Interference between Slovak and Roma Languages in Children. I earned this degree in 2005.
I moved to the USA in 2006, and every summer I go back to visit Slovakia with my husband and two children. I love the beach, running, volleyball, and hiking. I enjoy reading whatever I can get my hands on, and I live to teach.
