Dr. Rudi Richmand graduated Cum Laude from The University of Vermont in 2011 with a B.S. in Animal Science and minors in microbiology and organic chemistry. She went to the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and graduated with honors in 2015. Before joining Animal Emergency and Trauma, Dr. Richmand did a rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania, where she discovered her love for emergency medicine. Dr. Richmand is an emergency room veterinarian for Eastern Carolina Veterinary Referral and can be seen picking up relief shifts for primary veterinary care throughout Wilmington. She has been teaching part-time at CFCC in pharmacology, surgery, and anesthesia for 2 1/2 years. She recently contributed $25,000 to name the Dr. Rudi Richmand Surgical Suite in the Vet Tech building. Dr. Richmand lives on the beach with her dogs and cats.
