CFCC now enrolling students for new Simulation and Game Development program
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is excited to announce the launch of its new Simulation and Game Development program starting this fall. This innovative program will equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the rapidly growing gaming and simulation industry.
The Simulation and Game Development program will prepare graduates for employment in the software sector as design directors, designers, environmental artists, game design consultants, game designers, gamemasters, level designers, or world designers. The program includes a comprehensive curriculum that includes courses in:
- 3D Modeling
- Quality Assurance
- Software Engineering
- C++ Programming
- Graphic Design
The simulation and gaming program will cover software development, quality assurance analysis, and testing. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, the field is expected to grow by 25% in the next ten years, adding another 411,400 jobs. The median pay is $109,020.
