CFCC announces hiring of new men’s soccer coach
WILMINGTON, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is proud to announce the appointment of a new men’s soccer coach, Giovanni Vlahos. With an impressive coaching background and a passion for developing young talent, Coach Vlahos brings experience and expertise to Sea Devils Athletics.
Vlahos, a proud UNCW graduate, is returning to Wilmington from California. His impressive resume includes being Executive Director of the Poway Soccer Club (2017-2020), Head Coach of Cal-South’s Olympic Development Program (2013-2018), and Assistant Coach at San Diego State University (2013-2014).
Since 2017 Vlahos has served as a scout for the US Men’s National Team (USAMNT) and will continue to serve in this role. With this extensive network and strong relationships within the soccer community, Coach Vlahos will undoubtedly attract top-tier talent to CFCC.

The Cape Fear Community College men’s soccer team will release their full game schedule for the 23-24 year in July.
