CFCC hosts information session for Veterinary Medical Technology program
Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College’s (CFCC) Veterinary Medical Technology program will host an information session at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023, at the NV Building on CFCC’s North Campus (4816 Sidbury Road, Castle Hayne, NC). Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with faculty members, ask questions about the program, learn more about the application process, and tour the facilities.
“This information session is an excellent opportunity for prospective students to explore the Veterinary Medical Technology Program and learn more about the rewarding career opportunities in this field,” said April Lehmann, Program Director. “Our faculty members and staff are passionate about preparing students to become skilled veterinary technicians who can provide high-quality animal care, as well as the compassion and professionalism needed to excel in the field.”
Veterinary Medical Technology is a comprehensive education program that combines classroom instruction and hands-on clinical experience. Individuals will leave the program prepared to assist veterinarians in preparing animals, equipment, and medications for examination and surgery; collecting specimens; performing laboratory, radiographic, anesthetic, and dental procedures; assisting in surgery; and providing proper husbandry of animals and their environment. The program is accredited by the Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities (CVTEA).
