CFCC to make bus passes available to all current students

students walking out of N buildingWilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) is excited to announce an opportunity to enhance the accessibility and mobility of its student body. Beginning immediately, CFCC will make a limited number of WAVE bus passes available to enrolled students at no charge.

CFCC is committed to supporting our diverse student body and breaking down barriers preventing students from pursuing and accomplishing their educational goals. We consistently received feedback that reliable transportation is one challenge preventing students from beginning or finishing their education. Through a community partnership with WAVE Transit, CFCC continues to address obstacles for students and ensure that transportation challenges do not hinder access to education.

“Education should be accessible to everyone, and transportation should never be an impediment to learning,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “By offering WAVE bus passes to currently enrolled students, we are taking a significant step toward creating a more inclusive and supportive educational environment.”

“Investing in our students’ educational journey goes beyond the classroom and extends to the roads that lead them to success,” said Sabrina Terry, CFCC Vice President of Student Services. “Providing a bus pass is not just about transportation; it’s a commitment to breaking barriers, fostering accessibility, and empowering students.”
