CFCC Partners with American Jail Association to Support Individuals in Law Enforcement

Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College’s Law Enforcement Training recently partnered with the American Jail Association to support individuals in law enforcement. The American Jail Association (AJA) is a national, nonprofit organization that supports the professionals working and operating in jails.

It is the only national association that focuses exclusively on issues specific to the operations of local correctional facilities.

Through the partnership, CFCC’s Law Enforcement Training department will host several American Jail Association courses. Objective Jail Classification was the first course offered this year through the partnership. This seminar provides participants with the best business practices that are supported through research, evidence, and case law in implementing an objective jail classification process.

In addition to the partnership with the American Jail Association, this training was also made possible by the North Carolina Association of County Commissioners. “CFCC’s Law Enforcement Training actively pursues partnerships, and we are excited to partner with American Jail Association,” said CFCC Director of Law Enforcement Programs Tim Fuss. “This new partnership makes it possible for us to provide new, relevant, and timely training to those working in corrections and detention.”
