CFCC Career Academy

Explore your future at CFCC for free this summer!

Learn about all the new and exciting careers that CFCC offers! This two-week immersive program gives rising seventh, eighth, and ninth graders from New Hanover and Pender County Schools a deeper understanding of and hands-on experience in career paths like aviation, architecture, CAD/3D printing, entrepreneurship, fire fighting, film & video production, interior design, IT, law enforcement, plumbing, manufacturing, and theatre.

  • New Hanover County Middle Schools: June 16-27, 2025 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. M-Th and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Fridays
  • Pender County Middle Schools: July 14-25, 2025, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. M-Th and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Fridays

Students must be enrolled in Pender or New Hanover County Schools and be current middle school students (rising 7th–9th grade).

Camp includes
  • Lunch and snacks provided by CFCC
  • Meet the faculty and staff
  • Visit our North and Downtown campuses
  • Get hands-on experience in fields like aviation, architecture, CAD/3D printing, entrepreneurship, fire fighting, film & video production, interior design, IT, law enforcement, plumbing, manufacturing, and theatre!
  • Free gifts to participants include a T-shirt, backpack, water bottle, folder, pen, and more!
  • Celebration in CFCC’s Windell Daniels Hall on the last day of the academy with prizes, awards, and food! Invite your family!

Requirements
  • Be a rising 7th, 8th, or 9th grader of Pender County or New Hanover County Schools.
  • Want to have fun and learn about CFCC careers.
  • Complete Registration Packet (Please include any IEP/504 needs under Additional Information)
