CFCC Career Academy
Explore your future at CFCC for free this summer!
Learn about all the new and exciting careers that CFCC offers! This two-week immersive program gives rising seventh, eighth, and ninth graders from Burgaw, Holly Shelter, West Pender, and Williston Middle Schools a deeper understanding of and hands-on experience in career paths like nursing, dental hygiene, electrical, nail tech, radiography, truck driving, law enforcement, and many more.
- New Hanover County Middle Schools: June 17-28, 2024 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. M-Th and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Fridays
- Pender County Middle Schools: July 8-19, 2024, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. M-Th and 9 a.m.-12 p.m. on Fridays
Camp includes
- Lunch and snacks provided by CFCC
- Meet the faculty and staff
- Visit our North and Downtown campuses
- Get hands-on experience in fields like nursing, dental hygiene, electrical, barbering, nail tech, radiography, lineworker, truck driving, fire fighting, law enforcement, EMT, phlebotomy, diesel, small and outboard engines, occupational therapy assistant, aviation, drones, and more!
- Free gifts to participants include a T-shirt, backpack, water bottle, folder, pen, and more!
- Celebration in CFCC’s Windell Daniels Hall on the last day of the academy with prizes, awards, and food! Invite your family!

Requirements
- Be a rising 7th, 8th, or 9th grader of Pender County or New Hanover County Schools.
- Want to have fun and learn about CFCC careers.
- Complete required forms.
