Summer Camp can be one of the most rewarding and unforgettable experiences in a child’s life. Offered in-person at CFCC’s various campuses, summer camps immerse children in creative, fun, and educational activities. Our hope is to help instill a lifelong love of learning in each camper.

A camp for students to get a feel for what it would be like to be a teacher and/or principal/in administration.

Intro to DSLR Photography

Learn how to use your digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera to its fullest capability. Students will explore basic and advanced camera features through classroom discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities. You will also learn about good photo composition and techniques for photographing a variety of subjects such as landscapes, sports, and people. Participants should bring their own DSLR camera to class, along with its interchangeable lenses, owner’s manual, memory cards, and other accessories.

Improve your painting skills and develop your own personal style in a friendly and supportive atmosphere. This course is perfect for anyone interested in painting independently with the assurance that an instructor is on hand to offer tips, guidance, and encouragement. Work at your own pace using your choice of subject matter with acrylic paints. Students at all levels of expertise are welcome in this course where everyone receives one-on-one instruction and guidance. All supplies are included with registration fees.

This course is designed to introduce students to proper safety in the welding workplace environment. Students will learn welding terminology, basic metallurgy, basic welding processes/positions, shop math/blueprint reading, and practice on the simulation machine before transitioning to the welding lab. This course will educate students about various welding jobs in the industry with the expectation of inspiring the next generation of welders. Safety will be discussed throughout the entire course. Long pants, long sleeve shirt, boots/tennis shoes will be worn to class daily. Safety glasses, ear plugs, gloves, and helmet/shield will be provided. All students 12-17 years of age will need to complete/sign a waiver and have a parental consent form signed by a parent/guardian. Seating is limited.

This course introduces students to proper safety in the automotive restoration workplace. Students will learn terminology, metal selection, basic spot welding, body/frame construction, measurement techniques, and proper use of auto body tools. The course aims to educate students about auto body jobs in the industry, inspiring the next generation of technicians. Safety is emphasized throughout. Students must wear long pants, a long-sleeve shirt, and boots/tennis shoes daily. Safety glasses and gloves will be provided. Students aged 12-17 must complete a waiver and submit a minor permission form signed by a parent/guardian.

This course introduces students to building, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electromechanical controls, fluid power, motor drives, and mechanical systems. Students will practice with state-of-the-art simulations and real equipment work cells. Tools, multimeters, instruments, electromechanical components, and simulators will be provided in the classroom for hands-on experience.
Note: Students aged 12-17 require parental/guardian consent.

This course is designed to introduce students to the rewarding career as a certified nursing assistant (CNA). Explore this rewarding path which offers hands-on healthcare experience for potential nursing students. Topics include: terminology, communication, employment discovery, hygiene, PPE, environmental safety and how to take vitals. Students 12-17 will need to complete a waiver and have a minor permission form signed by parent/guardian.
