Biography

I served in the Marine Corps from 1998-2018 as an enlisted aircrew member on the CH-46 and V-22 aircraft. In 2003, I transitioned into a teaching role in the Marine Corps, teaching new and experienced aircrew members in their duties on the V-22 Osprey. After retiring from the Marine Corps, I started school to prepare myself for a new career. In 2021, I graduated from UNCW with a BS in Computer Science, minoring in Statistics. Building on this foundation, I continued my education at UNCW to pursue a Master in Science degree. During my time in graduate school, I worked as a research assistant for a professor in UNCW’s Coastal Engineering department and as a teaching assistant for the Introduction to Data Structures course. In 2023, I graduated from UNCW a second time with my MS in Computer Science Information Systems. I have a passion for software development and teaching. I get the greatest joy seeing my students grow as they learn new skills.
