Biography:
Abby Spangel Perry was raised in Southern Pennsylvania, and her research in artistic work is about creating foci on our often-difficult relationship with the environment and its smaller components. She received both an MFA and BFA in Painting with honors from East Carolina University. Perry’s award-winning paintings, drawings, textiles, and found objects art have been shown from Washington State to New York State. She was twice the recipient of the North Carolina Regional Emerging Artist Grant, and her work is held in the collection of the Cameron Art Museum in Wilmington, NC, among other collections.
