Biography

Danielle Lanigan earned a BS in Biology (2004), a BA in English (2005) and a MA in English (2008), with a concentration in literature, from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Although she has lived in several cities throughout WV, SC, and NC, she has resided in Wilmington, NC for much longer than any other city, thus, she calls Wilmington her beloved home. While she appreciates many genres of writing, American literature and memoirs are her favorite genres to both read and write. When she is not reading, writing or teaching, she spends most of her time caring for and playing outdoors with her young son, taking walks and visiting new local restaurants with her husband, and having fun with her family’s precious dog and cat.
