FFGA Optional Insurance

Cape Fear Community College offers all eligible employees a comprehensive benefits program. The products described in this booklet are optional, employee-paid benefits, and eligible employees have the opportunity to select the programs in which they wish to participate.

In order to enroll, you must be within 30 calendar days of your hire date or must enroll during the open enrollment period, held in October of each year with a January 1 effective date.

Employees can purchase additional policies through FFGA Benefits, an insurance broker that handles a comprehensive package of benefits unique to Cape Fear Community College. Visit the FFGA website to view all of the current optional benefits available including Dental, Vision, FSA, Group Term Life and Ancillary Benefits.

To make changes to your optional benefits outside of Open Enrollment, employees must do so within 30 calendar days of a qualifying life event as established by the IRS. Examples of qualifying events include birth, marriage, divorce, loss or gain of other coverage and death.

To make changes to your coverage, log in to FFGA BenSelect.
