Where are you originally from?
I was born in Naples, Florida, but spent half my life in Mexico.
Why did you decide to enroll at CFCC?
After graduating high school, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do, so I took a year off. Then, I found out about CFCC through its website and the opportunities it offers students. After considering it, I knew that CFCC would offer the right path to successfully transitioning to a four-year university after graduation.
How has your experience at CFCC been so far?
Overall, my experience at CFCC has been positive. I’ve had the opportunity to learn, meet new people, and engage in different activities that have helped me grow academically and personally. There have been challenges but also valuable learning experiences.
What role has the campus community played in your college experience?
The campus community has played a significant role in my college experience by providing support and a sense of belonging. It’s been a source of motivation and inspiration.
Are you involved in any extracurriculars, student clubs, or organizations?
I am involved in extracurricular activities. I currently serve as the Student Body Vice President for CFCC’s Student Government Association and as a Student Ambassador.
What are your plans after CFCC?
After CFCC, I plan to transfer to a four-year university to get my Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Finance, work at a tech company or an investment bank, and then go to law school.
Have you had a favorite class or instructor since your time here?
The class that really sparked my interest in Business was ACC 120, Principles of Financial Accounting, with Mr. Anderson. At first, I thought I wouldn’t do well, but Mr. Anderson’s teaching style made the material easy to understand. In this class, I learned so much about financial accounting, from how to read financial statements to preparing them, calculating revenues and expenses, etc. This class prepared me for future accounting courses.
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would they be?
If I could have dinner with three people, I would choose John F. Kennedy, Tim Cook, and Henry Kravis.
JFK would bring invaluable insights into leadership during times of change. As Apple’s CEO, Tim Cook could provide a deep understanding of technology and innovation. Henry Kravis would offer fascinating perspectives on business, entrepreneurship, and financial markets. Their diverse viewpoints would make for an inspiring and insightful dinner conversation.
