CFCC Congratulates Joanne Ceres on Her Retirement
After years of dedicated service, Joanne Ceres, CFCC Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management, is retiring. More time with her family and five grandchildren, ranging from 22 months to 13 years, awaits her.
“It was a very hard decision to retire. CFCC has been great to me. I absolutely love the people I work with. I have made wonderful lasting friendships here at CFCC, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team.”
“I believe in CFCC. The faculty and staff are incredibly talented and dedicated, and it has been an honor to serve on a leadership team that works tirelessly to move the college forward. I know CFCC has a bright future ahead.”
Joanne brought 29 years of higher education experience to CFCC. Formerly, she served as vice president of continuing education at Brookdale Community College and later worked for Rider University, where she obtained a master’s degree. However, her passion for community college brought her to Pitt CC, and finally Cape Fear.
“I am a product of the community college system. It was my first job in higher education and it was that associate degree that led me to my bachelor’s and master’s degrees,” Joanne shares. “My heart has always been with community college because this is the place where you get a second chance.”
Congratulations and happy retirement! CFCC wishes Joanne all the best.
