Cape Fear Community College Announces Two Career Discovery Nights

Wilmington, NC (November 18, 2025) – Cape Fear Community College invites current and prospective students to two upcoming Career Discovery Nights:

  • K-12 Teacher Preparation Program: Tuesday, December 2, 5:30-7:00 p.m., Union Station room 296 at CFCC’s downtown campus
  • Chemical Technology: Thursday, December 4, 5:30-7:00 p.m., N Building room 202 at CFCC’s downtown campus

Whether you are considering a new career path or looking to gain skills that lead directly to local job opportunities, these events offer a firsthand look at CFCC’s programs and provide the opportunity to meet instructors and gain valuable career information.

The K-12 Teacher Preparation Program is a two-year associate degree and is fully transferable to four-year North Carolina colleges and universities. This program provides field experience, curriculum planning, and teacher licensure preparation, allowing students to explore teaching as a career while earning transferable credits. The Chemical Technology program prepares students for careers in laboratory science by providing hands-on training in chemical analysis and instrumentation. Students learn to perform chemical testing, operate analytical equipment, interpret data, and follow industry safety and quality standards. Graduates are equipped to enter the workforce as chemical technicians or continue their education in chemistry or related scientific fields.
