Wilmington, NC – Cape Fear Community College (CFCC) has once again been acknowledged for its outstanding social media presence, securing the Silver Paragon Award at the National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) annual conference. This marks the second consecutive year CFCC’s Instagram page has been recognized. In addition, CFCC received two district Gold Medallion Awards for social media video and social media page.

The 2023 Paragon Awards drew 1,531 entries from 210 colleges nationwide and was judged by 65 marketing and public relations professionals.

“This recognition highlights our marketing team’s creativity and the important role social media plays in sharing our college’s story,” said Jim Morton, CFCC President. “This platform allows us to engage directly with our students and the community, demonstrating the impact and opportunities our college offers.”

“At Cape Fear Community College, our students are key to our social media success,” said Erin Fabian, CFCC Director of Marketing. “This award underscores our commitment to creating an online environment that is both engaging and entertaining, where we connect with students amidst numerous digital distractions.”

NCMPR’s Paragon Awards recognize outstanding design, strategy, and communications achievement at community and technical colleges. It is the only national competition that honors excellence exclusively among two-year colleges marketing and public relations professionals.
