Sea Devil Spotlight: Michael Arrigo
Huge shout out to CFCC Honors student Michael Arrigo who accepted an invitation to present at the 21st Annual Undergraduate Honors Symposium at UNC Greensboro on March 12. Michael will be presenting critical commentary on two works of art depicting the Treaty Signing at Medicine Creek Lodge and representing CFCC.
“I chose to go to Cape Fear Community College as it was local, affordable, and had several programs relevant to my interests that are also practical in terms of career growth. My hard work is not going unnoticed, and I am excited about all the opportunities my academic career at CFCC is opening the doors to.”
Michael is currently working towards earning his Associate in General Education and considering furthering his education. He also plans to meet with CFCC’s Small Business Center to go over the feasibility of a business idea.
“CFCC has helped to build my confidence as a student while bringing engaging opportunities into my life that wasn’t on my radar before. I’m close to my goal of earning my degree, and I’ve found support throughout this journey.”
For anyone thinking about enrolling at CFCC, Michael has some advice. “There is no better time than the present. All you have to do is reach out and you’ll find plenty of knowledgeable people who are here to help you navigate and achieve your goals. Don’t forget to enjoy the journey.”
