VA Education Benefit Programs

All students must apply for VA education benefits at explore.va.gov . A copy of the Certificate of Eligibility must be provided listing the correct program of study and Cape Fear Community College as the student’s place of study.

It is the student’s responsibility to advise the certifying official of any drops during the semester and each time the student registers for classes. This should be done as soon as possible to avoid any breaks in funding. Pre-registration is strongly advised.

After students have registered they should contact our certifying officials at va@cfcc.edu to have VA educational benefits certified. Tuition and fees will be held based on eligibility and books will be reimbursed to the student based on the number of credit hours. Monthly housing will be paid for 7 hours or more.
