Pirate Promise

Program Eligibility

• Full-time enrollment in an approved associate degree program.
• Cumulative GPA of 2.5 (must maintain a C or better to remain in the program)
• Early College and Career and College Promise students pursuing an approved associate degree and in their junior year of high school may also apply.

NCCU Transfer Admissions

CFCC is actively working with NC State University to establish clear pathways for transfering into certain programs. All CFCC transfer students can access NC State University’s Transfer Student Resources for comprehensive tools for prospective transfer students, from practical planning tools for selecting the best community college classes to useful tips on how to be a competitive transfer applicant.

• The NC Community College Transfer Resources page offers information on NC community college transfer guides as well as a list of majors at NC State University that may appeal to you.
• The Transfer Planner offers a way for you to see how your courses and test credits will transfer, plan your transfer coursework at CFCC, and share and collaborate on your transfer plan.

Program Eligibility

• Open to adult degree seeking students (*21 or older) with a cumulative GPA of 2.5

Carolina Student Transfer Excellence (C-STEP) Program

Program Eligibility

• Cumulative GPA of 3.2
• Completion of fewer than 30 hours of college credits
• Successful completion of high school (high school seniors should apply in April for fall admission.)

(Early college students are not eligible for this program. Dual enrolled high school students may only apply once they are preparing to graduate high school.)

Program Benefits

• Guaranteed admission to UNC general arts and sciences
• Waived application fee
• Access to specialized CFCC advising and mentorship
• Access to UNC admissions, advising, financial aid and student mentors
• Access to UNC resources, such as Career Services, the Writing Center, Financial Aid, Housing, Parking and UNC libraries

• Demonstrated success in CFCC classes (minimum GPA of 2.0 each semester)

Students enrolled in the Educator Preparation Program under this agreement will complete their clinical practice in Pender County Schools.

UNCP Transfer Transition and Engagement

Pathways

The Pathways program provides guaranteed transfer admission to UNCW for North Carolina Community College students completing an AA, AS, AE, AATP, ASTP, or AFA.

Program Eligibility

• Currently enrolled in a transferable associate degree (AA/AS/AE/AATP/ASTP/AFA)
• Dual-enrolled or early college students who plan to apply as first-year students are not eligible for Pathways.

The Pre-Hawk Program provides select students a seamless pathway from CFCC to UNCW through direct admission.

Program Eligibility

• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 at CFCC
• Enrollment in a CFCC college transfer program with completion of 12-30 credits
• Demonstrated commitment to transferring to UNCW
