HVAC technicians are in high demand to build, install, and maintain our constantly evolving systems, and experts predict the demand of HVAC technicians will only rise through 2026. The Bureau of Labor Statistics specifically predicted a growth of 21% in the field between 2012 and 2022.
CFCC offers CAD training courses that cover basic and intermediate as well as advanced concepts and 3D modeling using various CAD software, including AutoCAD and Inventor. Students will learn to use drawing and editing commands to set up, draw, modify and dimension architectural, mechanical and civil drawings. Students will increase their speed and proficiency with these CAD trainings.

This course provides instruction related to the core skills used by carpenters in residential and commercial settings. Topics include safety, work ethic, interview skills, hand/power tool use, site preparation, measurement and layout, footings and foundations, construction framing, and other related topics.
This course is designed to provide an understanding of fundamental carpentry techniques. Participants will learn basic safety procedures; tool identification, use and selection; tool check out/in procedures and basic carpentry mathematics. Other course topics may include techniques for framing walls, partitions, roofs, doors, and windows as well as understanding the basic materials and construction practices to layout and construct foundations and flooring systems. Throughout the course participants are involved in live project construction to give practical application to knowledge learned.

Upon completion of the four-level/four-year program, apprentices will receive their Apprenticeship NC journeyman card and certificate. This program is taught using the Mike Holt curriculum and books.

Fire Alarm Systems Training is a program to produce competent and qualified individuals. It is our belief that properly trained and knowledgeable fire alarm system designers and technicians will reduce the losses due to fire or false alarms and improve the quality of life in their community.
This one-day course provides a three-year NC Public Safety certification and teaches the critical safety aspects of lift truck operation, including basic design, stabilization, maintenance, and managing repair costs.
In this course, students will learn basic business practices and knowledge of general contracting in the state of North Carolina. This course will also prepare students who are ready to take the General Contractor’s Licensing Exam.
This Foundation of GIS certificate program is designed to provide students with the necessary skills to effectively use GIS Software in their related field. Students will be introduced to geographic information systems and cartography. In our GIS courses, students will work with advanced analytical tools and develop skills in spatial problem-solving. Students will be prepared to take the GIS Fundamentals Foundation 2201 Technical Certificate from Esri.

A LEED credential denotes proficiency in today’s sustainable design, construction, and operations standards. This self-paced course introduces key concepts and terms to prepare learners to earn their LEED® Green Associate v4™ accreditation. The course is divided into modules that explain LEED® process, LEED® certification, and the knowledge domains associated with the seven LEED® rating systems, in a simple and straightforward way that can be quickly and easily understood.
Many job creators ask their workers to obtain an OSHA card. This often refers to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) Outreach Training Program’s 10-hour and 30-hour safety courses. The 10-hour safety course covers general safety and health hazards for entry-level workers. The 30-hour safety course provides a greater variety of safety subjects and in-depth, industry-specific training and is intended for supervisors and workers with safety and health responsibility. While fraudulent actors may advertise OSHA 10-hour training, only OSHA-authorized trainers can issue course completion cards at the end of the training.

This 80-hour course is designed to meet the educational requirements for a provisional broker as prescribed by the NC Real Estate Commission. The program consists of four courses in the specialized classroom and practical hands-on training in the laboratory. Through Welding Fundamentals, MIG, Stick, and TIG, welding students are equipped with the skills the field requires. Students will learn skills and gain the knowledge needed to enter the field of welding in industrial, manufacturing, and welding shop environments.
