Assistance dog trainers train dogs to assist individuals with physical, neurological, psychiatric or emotional disabilities. In a collaboration with paws4people, this 93-hour course will introduce students to the history, laws, societal beliefs/values, theories, and functions of the use of assistance dogs. Students will learn the different types and categories of dogs, disabilities associated with and benefits of assistance dogs.
This course is designed to prepare auto technicians to be able to inspect automobiles made prior to 1996 for the State of North Carolina. Course topics include regulations and test inspection procedures required by the NC DMV. Upon completion, a student should understand the rules, regulations, and procedures for inspections and able to inspect a vehicle properly and be prepared to sit for the state certification exam.

Water and wastewater treatment plant and system operators are responsible for: Collecting and analyzing water samples, documenting findings and implementing solutions, and inspecting and repairing equipment. Upon completion, this course will prepare participants for the NC Biological Grade I and II* North Carolina Water Pollution Control System Operator’s Certification Commission Exam (WPCSOCC).
The program consists of four courses in the specialized classroom and practical hands-on training in the laboratory.
