In a collaboration with paws4people, this 93-hour course will introduce students to the history, laws, societal beliefs/values, theories, and functions of the use of assistance dogs. Students will learn the different types and categories of dogs, disabilities associated with and benefits of assistance dogs.
This course is designed to prepare auto technicians to be able to inspect automobiles made prior to 1996 for the State of North Carolina. Course topics include regulations and test inspection procedures required by the NC DMV. Upon completion, a student should understand the rules, regulations, and procedures for inspections and able to inspect a vehicle properly and be prepared to sit for the state certification exam.
