Community Patrons
Computer Use
Computer use in the LRC is limited to current CFCC students and employees. Community patrons who need access to a computer in order to conduct business with the College should speak with a librarian. All computer users agree to the CFCC Computer Acceptable Use Policy . The cost to print from LRC computers is .05 cents per side for black & white printing and .35 cents per side for color printing.
Collection Use
A person 18 years or older and living in New Hanover or Pender counties may apply for a Community Patron Library Card. Area high school students under the age of 17 are also eligible for a Community Patron Library Card when sponsored by a parent or guardian. Terms of this sponsorship are described in the Parental Authorization for High School Students form .
A photo ID and two pieces of documentation showing proof of residency are required. Any two of the following will qualify as long as they have matching addresses: a driver’s license, utility bill, or tax bill. The photo ID may serve as one proof of residency if it indicates a New Hanover County or Pender County address. If it does not, it may serve only as the photo ID, and two additional pieces of documentation must be used to show proof of residency.
Community Patrons must apply in person for a Library Card and may check out a total of 5 items at a time. Only one DVD may be checked out at a time.
