Nurse Aide
The Nurse Aide [NA] is one of the most vital members of the Health Care Team. A Nurse Aide works under the supervision of a Registered or Licensed Nurse in Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Adult Day Health Centers, Assisted Living Facilities, Rehabilitation Centers, Doctor’s Offices, Personal Homes and is a valued part of the Health Care Team.
Wherever there is a need for personal care, Nurse Aides are the ones who, for the most part, meet the most basic needs of the patients, both young and old alike. Since Nurse Aides have extensive daily contact with each patient, they are key to providing vital information on the patient’s conditions to the Nurse and other Health Care Team members.
Nurse aide courses are offered at the Wilmington downtown campus, Alston W. Burk Center at Surf City, and at Burgaw Center.
