Nurse Aide Courses

Are you a natural caretaker? Do you enjoy working with others? If so, CFCC’s Nurse Aide courses/program could be a great fit for you!

Nurse Aides [NA] are essential members of any health care team. Nurse Aides work under the supervision of a registered or licensed nurse in nursing homes, hospitals, adult day health centers, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, doctor’s offices, and private homes.

Wherever there is a need for personal care, Nurse Aides work to meet the most basic needs of patients. Because Nurse Aides have extensive daily contact with patients, they are key to providing vital information to other healthcare team members.

CFCC’s Nurse Aide courses are offered at the Wilmington downtown campus, Alston W. Burke Center at Surf City, and at Burgaw Center at varying start times throughout the year.

Requirements and Registration Information

Students applying to other Health and Human Services programs and/or registering for curriculum courses should register for a Nurse Aide section that does not conflict with or ends prior to the start of the program they are applying to or the course they plan to take. Students needing assistance with the selection of a section should contact the Health Science Enrollment Center at healthsciences@cfcc.edu .
