Nurse Aide Courses
Start Your Healthcare Career as a Nurse Aide
Do you have a caring nature and a desire to make a difference in people’s lives? If you enjoy helping others, CFCC’s Nurse Aide program could be the perfect place to begin your journey in healthcare.
Nurse Aides (NAs) play a critical role in patient care. Working under the supervision of registered or licensed nurses, they provide hands-on support in various settings — including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, rehabilitation centers, adult day health centers, doctors’ offices, and even private homes.
As a Nurse Aide, you’ll be on the front lines of patient care — assisting with daily activities, ensuring comfort and safety, and communicating essential information to the healthcare team.
The CFCC Nurse Aide I (NAI) training program is approved by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Health Service Regulation (DHSR). Students who successfully complete the NAI training are eligible to sit for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program exams. Upon passing both the written and skills exams, the student will be placed on the North Carolina Nurse Aide Registry maintained by DHSR.
The CFCC Nurse Aide II (NA II) program is approved by the NC Board of Nursing. Students who complete the NA II training course are eligible to be placed on the NC state NA II Registry.
