Meet the training requirement for certification as an apartment maintenance technician. There are seven training modules: 1) Inside the Apartment Business, 2) People, Projects and Profits, 3) Electrical Maintenance and Repair, 4) Plumbing Maintenance and Repair, 5) Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Maintenance and Repair, 6) Appliance Maintenance and Repair, and 7) Interior and Exterior Maintenance and Repair.
This course is designed to prepare auto technicians to be able to inspect automobiles made prior to 1996 for the State of North Carolina. Course topics include regulations and test inspection procedures required by the NC DMV. Upon completion, a student should understand the rules, regulations, and procedures for inspections and able to inspect a vehicle properly and be prepared to sit for the state certification exam.

The Cape Fear Community College Dog Grooming program is designed to teach students introductory aspects of pet grooming. Introduction to Dog Grooming teaches students basic grooming techniques that will be useful in student’s dog grooming careers and/or with their own dog. Truck Driver Training prepares individuals to drive tractor-trailers rigs. This program teaches proper driving procedures, safe driver responsibility, commercial motor vehicle laws and regulations, and the basic principles and practices for operating commercial vehicles.
Water and wastewater treatment plant and system operators are responsible for: Collecting and analyzing water samples, documenting findings and implementing solutions, and inspecting and repairing equipment. Upon completion, this course will prepare participants for the NC Biological Grade I and II* North Carolina Water Pollution Control System Operator’s Certification Commission Exam (WPCSOCC).
The program consists of four courses in the specialized classroom and practical hands-on training in the laboratory. Through Welding Fundamentals, MIG, Stick, and TIG, welding students are equipped with the skills the field requires. Students will learn skills and gain the knowledge needed to enter the field of welding in industrial, manufacturing, and welding shop environments.
