The Counseling Center
Reasons you may benefit from speaking with your CFCC counselor:
- You are feeling stressed or overwhelmed.
- You are having difficulty managing your time and priorities.
- You have experienced a recent loss.
- You are looking for tools to be successful in your courses.
- You want to improve your soft skills such as communication styles and boundaries.
- You need a safe space to discuss personal worries and concerns.
All Professional Counseling Staff hold a master’s degree in the counseling field and are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on a drop-in basis. Students are also welcome to make appointments.
Confidentiality: Services provided by CFCC Counseling Staff are confidential in keeping with ethical standards unless a student indicates they are at risk of harming themselves or others.
Counselors are not able to provide clinical mental health counseling, however, they can provide guidance and tools. When appropriate, counseling staff can provide referrals to outside mental health services.
